There is an increasing need for workplace automation due to the increasing number of time-sensitive tasks that are often handled by human resources. With advanced technology, ample opportunities present themselves in the form of online human resource management systems (HRMS). These systems help streamline day-to-day operations by automating routine HR tasks and reducing paperwork.

J-K Camp, a leading luxury camping company in India, has adopted an online HRMS to manage its workforce. The system was designed and developed by a leading HR software provider, offering superior functionality and enhanced performance.

Adopting an online HRMS can improve workflow efficiency and save time. It can also help to eliminate errors, automate tedious processes, and improve communication between managers and employees. In addition, it can provide a comprehensive record of employee performance for future reference.

Here’s Something New

Jammu and Kashmir’s public sector companies are slowly but surely getting geared up with the latest technology – Traction AC, the cloud-based human resources management platform, was launched by J&K Electricity Board Limited (JKEB) earlier this year, while active directory automation software ADOSS is being used by the State Bank of India (SBI). So what can we expect from the government in terms of adopting new HR technologies?

Technology has revolutionized many aspects of our lives. We now have 24×7 connectivity and access to a wide range of information at our fingertips. With this comes a need to manage our time and resources more efficiently. Human resource management (HRM) is no exemption.

The adoption of new HR technologies by government agencies will not only improve their workflows but also give employees a more efficient and transparent workplace. In addition, it will lead to increased productivity and morale. By adopting online HRM, government agencies can conserve both their time and budget.

Online HRM Launched for Employees of J&K

It is overjoyed to hear that now, J&K has its own HRM system for its employees. It is considered a new great accomplishment by the Government in the IT sector. The Jammu and Kashmir Human Resource Management System was introduced by Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta (JK-HRMS)

According to the Chief Secretary, the approach would help ensure that all employees received equal treatment in terms of career advancement, timely submission of monthly performance reports, property returns, and annual performance reports. Dr. Mehta ordered that all of these performance requirements be observed and that proper action be taken against wilful defaulters. “This management scheme should also control the long-tenured staff and employees receiving promotions,” he said.

In the meeting, it was discovered that the government’s implementation of the JK HRMS is a prolongation of IT initiatives like the Employees Monitoring Portal (EPM), Employees Verification System (EVS), Online Property Return System (PRS), Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW), and Vigilance Clearance System (VCS) launched to ease and address employee HRM issues.

The JK-HRMS should offer employees a combined interface where they can access significant service-related information containing posting and promotion, monthly pay stubs, income tax withheld, GPF statements, and SLI subscriptions. The Employees Monitoring Portal (EPM) and Online Property Return System (PRS) will also be integrated into the portal. The portal will offer a general, product-based remedy for improved handling of service-related issues through electronic service records, and can easily access the interface by visiting hrms.jk.gov.in.

This implementation brings relief to government employees. They are to get a joined dashboard that gives them access to dynamic services. The E system will remove the practice of delays and now ease quick verification of information and submissions.
Different information and necessary data about employees, such as one’s future transfer, retirements & appraisal, releasing of Annual benefits & Pension in a lump sum, etc are thoroughly tied to the information noted in one’s Service Book and can now be securely accessed.

All DDOs were requested to make sure that all employees underneath their supervision register on the portal and cross-check their service-related information united into the JK-HRMS, which shall be authenticated by the concerned Drawing & Disbursing Officers in a well-timed manner. This was completed while highlighting the features of the JK-HRMS. It is applicable to note that the J-K General Administration Department and National Informatics Center (ANI) collaborated to create this “one-stop solution” for handling concerns relating to employee service records in electronic form.

Now, everything should go smoothly, without problems, and most essential, less time-consuming with its implementation.
